The Cultural Club of the Department of English organized a Pre-Boishakh and Henna Fest at the department on March 29, 2022. As it was one of the first celebrations after a long break due to the pandemic, it brought everyone together through the revelries. The event was held in the department corridor where everyone came together to rejoice. All the faculty members and a large number of students from different batches of the department attended the event with great enthusiasm. The department looked very festive with all the beautiful and artistic decorations done by the students!

Dr. Mehnaz Tazeen Choudhury, Head of the Department, inaugurated the program with her welcome remarks. The main attraction of the event was students applying henna on each other’s hands and also on the hands of some of the faculty members. Students and faculty alike were excited to wear traditional clothing to represent their national pride. Students also performed cultural activities such as songs and dance. The program ended at 7 PM with a vote of thanks by a faculty member.
